Siddharth Anand’s latest directorial venture, “Fighter,” featuring an ensemble cast including Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, witnessed a surge in collections on Day 2, attributed to the Republic Day holiday. However, the film seems to have faced a dip in box office earnings on Saturday.
As reported by Sacnilk.com, “Fighter” is projected to have earned ₹20 crore on Day 3, contributing to an overall domestic collection of ₹85.80 crore. Despite the Saturday dip, the film is expected to rebound on Sunday, indicating a potential weekend surge in earnings.
On Day 2, the film experienced a notable spike, earning a commendable ₹41.20 crore, as highlighted in a statement from the makers. The surge has been attributed to the patriotic fervor embedded in the storyline, aligning with the sentiments of Republic Day.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, known for his directorial successes with “Pathaan” and “War,” “Fighter” pays homage to the valor, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian armed forces. The film’s opening day collection stood at ₹24.60 crore.
