All the cricket fans were eagerly waiting for the TATA IPL 2024. For the 17th season of Indian Premier League 2024, The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced a schedule for 2 weeks matches.
The auction of players was done and all the IPL franchises have also formed their respective squads.
The date of IPL season 17 has also been announced. The 17th season of IPL will start from March 22 this time and its final match will be played on May 26. During the two-week period, 21 matches will be played across 10 cities. And each team will be playing a minimum of 3 matches and maximum of 5 matches.
First match will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on Friday.

BCCI’s IPL Governing Council has taken this decision to split IPL 2024 in 2 parts due to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in India. The Board is in touch with the Government of India and once the dates for the general elections are announced by the Election Commission of India, the BCCI will review the election schedule and address any issues pertaining to the schedule of the first two weeks.
However, when general elections were held in the year 2009 and 2014, the entire IPL tournament was shifted to South Africa. Whereas in the year 2014, the first half of IPL was held in UAE.
